Default how to remove 3M tape?

Hey guys planning to sell the car..cant sell it with the damn hood scoop on it which is 3m'ed on the hood...so how do i take it out without screwing up anything else..heres a pic!!
thanks guys...i really appreicate your suggestion...

Heat up the 3M material w/ a hair dryer (a heat gun will probably make too much heat) until it is soft enough so you can start moving it. Then, keep heating it up as you slowly lift off the scoop, a bit at a time.

You could use a plastic spreader, like those used to spread body filler, to get under the scoop and lift it up. Try to get as much of the #M material off as you can.

Once you have it off, you could use some acetone (nail polish remover) to remove the small amount of glue that is left.

Follow that up with some fine scratch remover (Meguier's/Mother's), NOT polishing compound, available from AutoZone/Advanced Auto/etc. and then re-wax and you should be all set.

3m has an adhesive remover. It works great :-)

+1. 3M really knows their adhesives, and they made a great remover to handle them!
