Post Legacy to impreza tranformation

Ok I have a 97 legacy gt how hard is it to put into an impreza L or Brighton body. What are the requirements?

what is the reason you would want to put the 2.5 engine into an impreza? the DOHC 2.5 engine that comes in the Leg Gt is prone to headgasket failure. alot of people do the opposit and put a 2.2 into a leg gt.

I got into an accident with my gt and the price for body work is a little outrageous so I wanted to know how hard it would be to take the engine i have and make an rs for a little less money

it would be pretty easy, not sure how well the 2.5 runs on the 1.8ECU, i know it WOULD run, and probably pretty well, just not PERFECT, other than that, itll all fit in your impreza pretty easily if you have a clue what your doing.
