Hey guys,
I am pretty new to the forum so forgive me if I am posting this in the wrong place, but I wanted to get some opinions on how much you think a wrecked 2005 legacy gt limited would be worth. I own a 1998 gt limited but am looking to upgrade to the new generation. This guy I know is thinking of selling his and he asked me for an offer. Like I said 2005, with ~18,000 miles, leather, manual. It has drivers side/ front end damage, but the bags did not deploy. It pretty much needs a new driver side door, and fender.... and a little touch up else where and it runs nicely. Its a salvaged title of course. The private party blue book is right around $21,000. It does not sound like the body work would be too extensive.... but you never know with a wrecked car. What do you think???? |

I'd say pass. Its hard for us to gauge damage based on what you've given us, but if its bad enough for a salvage title I'm turn my cheak on it.

Salvage titles might have different meanings in different states, but at least from what I've read here, it means it is cheaper for the insurance company to write off the car completely, versus repairing it.
That sounds like some significant damage, more than what you have mentioned. I would suspect the person is not fully disclosing the full details of the damage to the car. |

Where do you live?
Salvaged vehilces are worth about a 1/3rd of KBB. because they are so hard to sell or get insurance for them, plus they need to be fixed. For instance see here, Not the same damage but this is how cheap it can be about 1/3rd normal price for a 2005 LGT in Canada. http://www.canadatrader.com/result/d...5&pgno=2&srt=1 |
