Default EJ25 compression

The dealer said compression Cyl. 1-2 = 195 & cyl. 3-4 = 190. What are normal/good compression readings? Legacy 98 GT 2.5L

According to the FSM, it should be 176psi, so you're looking pretty damn good. How many miles on it?

I've never had the compression cheched on my bucket, I did ask for it to be done during my 100k service but a boatload of issues came up and I didn't press the issue.

Honestly, I don't think I want to know.

if your compressoin results are 10% above factory, you have a good motor, especially since you have 120k on the odo.

I just ran a cold compression test on my sedan the other day, between 190 and 195 across the board. I don't know if running it warm would make a difference.

The strange thing about that is that it has a leaky headgasket (blows bubbles in the coolant overflow), so I was expecting it to be lower.
