Question Kenwood HU owners: TOC error??

I've been seing a few TOC errors being sent back to kenwood. I recently had to do this after the deck wouldnt read any disks and gave the "TOC ERROR" message.

Has anyone had this problem fixed by kenwood either under warranty or not? Has anyone fixed this outside of kenwood?

I have just sent My model # 989 excelon nit to kenwood.

I hope I remember to update this if I ever get it back

Hey parker, were you trying to play mp3's? A friend of mine had that error, turned out his mp3s were compressed wrong and it wouldn't read them. Might check into that.

I have a KDC-MP522 player, approx 2 years old. When I first got it it would play mp3 or normal cds. Then it started giving me that TOC error for my MP3 CD's, then normal burnt CD's, and now it wont even play store bought CD's!

I bought a cleaning CD, but I'm not sure if that helped. It only temporarily solved the problem with normal CD's not playing. I also tried blowing it out, but that didnt really help either

I figure since my warranty is up, ill tear it open and do a bit of cleaning
