Exclamation nothing wrong with the clutch!

We bought our WRX in March of last year and have loved every one of the over 23,000(!) miles we have driven it. But last week we had just about had it with our local dealership telling us (for the fourth time) our severely chattering clutch was "unduplicatable", especially since our car does it pretty consistently for us. We have been back and forth with them on the issue since the car had 4,000 miles on it. After much research and many months of asking anyone who would listen, just today we got in touch with a pro Subaru race shop that had the answer. THE CAR WAS DESIGNED AND SHIPPED WITH A COMPETITION-TYPE CLUTCH! All WRXs have a kevlar clutch disc, which just like in a racecar, is subject to harmonic vibrations set up by the driveline at low RPMs, and therefore is not a problem. If anything, it makes me prouder of the car, but it is a little depressing that nobody at SOA had the wherewithal to tell us this. It appears our dealer had no knowledge of this until I told them today. Enjoy your car, there's nothing wrong with it!
