Unhappy FS- My RS/ WRX

Well, this pains me to no end but it's really in my best interest to sell.

This will be a long post since I want to give everyone all the information on the car.

Shell is a MY00 BRP RS coupe, approx 130k miles on the body. Below is a comprensive list of what was done mod-wise.

- MY04 WRX longblock, ECUtek flash (was for a VF34 and pinks but getting it retuned this week for the stock TD04 that is back on there) approx 32k miles on engine
- silencer delete elbow, Green drop-in filter.
- Perrin catless flex up-pipe
- STi version 4 transmission, 4.44 matching VLSD read diff. Exedy Hyper single clutch/ flywheel
- STi gr N motor and tranny mounts, Kartboy shifter bushings
- MY02 WRX wagon rear axles
_ MY99 RS front axles (non ABS)
- Version 4 front bumper and genuine STi 3-4 front lip
- rear spats
- STi version 4 steering wheel
- Defi D-gauge 52mm boost, EGT and water temp gauges modded to fit is stock GC gauge pod.
- Rota Slipstream 16x7" flat back wheels (no, stock RS ones are not available)
- wired in sensor at ECU which defeats the dreaded MY04 + ECU code for missing fuel tank pressure sensor (NO CEL's, will pass any emission inspection with flying colors).
- WRX pedals

I bought this car in 2004 from Maine with the swap already completed and added everything above to the car. As anyone who has seen the car in person (or driven it) can attest, this is a truely complete car with ZERO issues and can be trusted as a daily driver.

I am VERY specific of how my cars are cared for so after buying the car, I replaced the front bumper, fog lights and hood. This was not needed but the northern roads and accompanying salt did a number on the front bumper and the hood was dented while off the car during the swap. The car has never been in any accidents.

To demonstrate how picky I am, I used all new (from SoA) bolts and nuts when installing the trans and rear diff. If you look under the hood, under the car, in the trunk, even pull up the carpet, this does not look like a northern car. I've seen local cars that have more rust... this is a super clean car for any region.

The bad? None really aside from rusty front rotors (normal), the Exedy clutch is chattery (normal for a 6 puck), no cruse control and lastly you would need to install front ABS axles to make use of the ABS. I never use ABS and disconnected the fuses before I removed the original axles. That will be up to the original buyer of course but I will install if needed.

My current price with everything on the car will be $11,800 FIRM. That is higher than average but this car is much better than average. It is a complete car, fast, fun and 100% reliable. If I sell more parts off the car, I will adjust the price accordingly.

Please PM me or reply here with interest. I am in no hurry to sell but I'd like it gone by March if possible. I have old pics but will post updated ones this week.

Thanks!
-Mike.

EDIT: Here is a pic with the old wheels and brakes on the car.

Front LSD?

What's the suspension?

Are those the FHI 4/2 piston brakes? And judging from the "today" pics, they don't come with the car?

In the first pic, it had P1 suspension (Marlette has that) and 4-pot, 2-pot brakes (Jier Shu has them).

It has a stock MY01 RS suspension and stock brakes now. No front LSD... those were only on RA and V limited. This is the std sti with thet taller 5th.

This is a rundown of approximate costs for what is on the car now.

STi trans, rear diff- $2600
clutch, flywheel, STi linkage- $900
axles- $200
mounts/ bushings (engine, trans, shifter)- $260
EcuTEK flash/ tune- $800
gauges- $380
front bumper, lip, paint- $900
rear spats- $130
fr and rr lightweight inner beams- $170
Turbo back exhaust- $1100
up-pipe (perrin catless) $180
WRX swap- ??? (came on the car)

So it's still a great deal IMO.

BUT, I really just need the cash so I'm not interested in trades.

Thanks,
-Mike.

Damn the lack of cash!! I could have matching RS's ... a fast one and a slow one ...

Good luck w/ the sale ... if I come into some $$ between now and March, I'll let you know ... until then, I'll just enjoy the hell out of the suspension that car used to have in it.

Thanks.

If it goes unsold until then, it will probably have fewer parts and be less expensive.

The unwritten Subie law is: Stock parts are easy to come by unless you need them.

Well, I should be replacing the clutch/flywheel and Turbo-back with stock parts.

If that happens, the price will be reduced to 12,500 OBO

Usually about 26 on the highway but that was with a VF34.

I drive it so little that it's hard to measure the city MPG (2 miles to work) but I would guess as with any turbo car , if you get on it all the time you 'll see teens. lol
