Default hmmmm

Photoshop, eh? The door handles do look weird...for example, where is that double "reflection" doorhandle coming from??

But even so, it's a hell of a PS job, and hey, why not give us something to drool for.

No matter if it was photochopped or not, this doesn't even look like the picture of a real car. I would bet that it's a rendered computer model. Does look very pretty, though, I love the color!

That is a pic of a real car. The original pic was of a blue one when they announced the release of the STi months ago.

The photoshopping aspect is changing the hue of the body to the Steel Gray rom the blue... which is quite easy to do by masking off the body, using the color picker and replace color.

Look at the pictures of the STi and STi Prodrive from that web site side by side. On the common parts (ignore the different body parts), all shadows and highlights look completely identical. I don't believe that they could place two different cars so precisely, and maintain the exact same light and camera settings, to achieve that. The most minor change would make a difference in the reflection you see on the windshield or body parts. Also, the whole pictures just look too perfect and artificial, they have "ray tracing" written all over it.

A year or so ago, someone here had the RS painted Gun Metal Grey (or something like that). It was one of the sharpest looking Impreza's that I've ever seen.

The "Steel Blue Mica" RS bluesubie mentioned has been the Subie of the week for 3 months or so and no longer exist. It had a spontanious self combustion problem. Was a very nice paintjob. Seen it in person. Now that I think about it the only thing that bothered me on it was that it was not metallic. I think that the real Steel Blue Mica color(82F?) is Metallic.

Zahnster - I just did a search. It was Pinoy's Steel Blue Mica.
Same one?
