On overcast days, I like to keep the headlights on but it wasn't dark enough for the Nav to be in night mode and I wanted to change it back to Day mode but couldn't do so.
On page 5 of the Monitor System manual (not the Owner Reference Guide), it states: "...If the system has automatically turned down the brightness in order to prevent excessive brightness following the illumination of headlights or parking lights, pressing this button for more than one second will return the display to the standard brightness level." For the life of me, I can't seem to get this to work regardless of how long I hold that button down. Has anyone been successful in doing so? =================================== Also, does anyone know how to disable the DRLs? I'm looking to buy overwattage bulbs (65W H7s) to replace the OEMs and don't want the life of these bulbs to be shortened as a result of the DRLs. Anyone knows how to disable them? Better yet, anyway to tap into the wires to install a switch in the cockpit so I can turn them on/off at will? There are certain occasions where the DRLs do come in handy. I leased the car so I didn't bother purchasing the service manual, otherwise I'd look it up myself. TIA! Last edited by turboBB; 12-03-2006 at 01:56 AM. |
