I chose to get rilly good parts and some parts I didnt need ( overkill ) "just to get the car to run" But, Im not looking to just make it run I'd dont use it as a daily driver but I dont want to have to think to myself when Im about to get in and drive ....Hum? is she goin to start today and what will I have to fixs when I get back

Well on Monday 03/26/07 at 11:50 am a 87 year old man made a blind on coming left hand turn in front of me and I could not get out of the way. ( I felt helpless as if my own child was killed rite in front of me ) Im still waiting on his insurance ( 100% his fault ) to find out what they think they are goin to do. But I have all receipts in hand and am willing to put up a serious fight if they say they are not liable for aftermarket parts.......we shall see

That makes me want to cry. Seriously. So much work put into it.... it's not even like being reimbursed for the price of the aftermarket parts could come close to replacing all the time and effort you put into it.

So sorry man.

edit: f%@#ing bluehairs!

.......... why are old people allowed to drive.... I cant even imagine the pain you are going through. What do you estimate the repairs to cost? Are you going to rebuild?? Sorry to hear about this, hope everything comes through ok. Good Luck!!

Wow, man sorry to see your car like that, i know how it feels. from the pictures it looks like it might be fixable. I cant tell if the air bags went off or not but if they didnt and the frame rail on that side is still straight the rest of the front end stuff will be simple to fix, reason i say this is because my car was damaged in the same way and they fixed it, the frame was never bent. They will be able to see more once the passanger side fender is pulled off. the core support and aprane up front is a easy weld in for a good body shop, you could even convert it to a 05 or 06 sytle front end now. I dont think u want them to total it since it will be hard to fight for the value of the time and effort you have into the car, and if they are smart they will work with you to fix it any way you want since thats going to be cheaper then trying to total the car out and go to court when they offer you piss money for it. Keep your cool and dont give up, in the end it will be worth your effort. Your car was perfect and your deserve nothing but a perfect car in the end. Good Luck!

man that sux the anu$. I dont know what I would do if someone ever hit my car like that. Im so attached to it I think I would cry. On the bright side if they do pay for everything you have another project on your hands. I enjoy doin my own work so It would be fun to put everything back together and seeing the results in the end
