It would also fit many Forresters, Legacies, Baja's and older GC cars.

This is what the smart thing to do would be: http://godspeedbrakes.co.uk/Subaru/R...ar_classic.htm

Make those extra big handbrake pads in both normal and race like they do here in japan and then get with Tom to make a bracket.

Turns out there is already a 5X100 rotor with a 170mm handbrake assembly that will work with a bracket for the brembos. WRXBRAKES PM me if you want more info.

The actual brake shoe should be the same across all Imprezas. I know that there is only one part number for the rally and gymkhana handbrake pads here in japan.

Also here is the thing. I am all about helping you guys out, but I am working two different brake upgrade options that are popular in Japan. The problem is the rotors are not available in the states. They came on non-USDM cars only. I will be speaking with WRXBRAKES about this.

These are the rotors and brackets that go with the kit. It uses the 322mm R34 rotor as far as I can tell. I believe that the rotor has the 5X100 holes drilled in it specifically so it will work on the Subaru since the GTR uses 5X114.3 I believe.

yeah...well...anyway. good luck with the info and getting it all straighten out. it would be nice for a bolt solution. though i did have the new backing plate for the subaru 2 pots put in. getting 12 year old wheels bearing changed as a good idea too!

The rotors are coming from DBA pretty soon - so with brackets we will have a bolt on solution.

Wow, this is good stuff. I'd like to know more about that GT-R rotor kit too! It's always nice to have more options.

Brembos front and rear are in, did use the thicker brake shoes from godspeed, mounting was easy

On the rear I removed this thing to get the bigger discs fitted:

Burschik:

Can you shed some light on the EXACT parts needed, and where you purchased them, to mount the rear calipers on the 5 x 100 rear?

All I have now are the rear calipers and pads.

For my WRX (peanut eye) I did need following parts:

-rear Brembo calipers and pads from Sti
-4 mounting bolts for the rear brembo calipers from Sti
-rear Brembo discs from Sti 5x100 (i have 5x114,3 redrilled, see post above)
-thicker (hand-)brake shoes from godspeed:
http://www.godspeedbrakes.co.uk/Suba.../rearshoes.htm

That's all, mounting is plug&play

Did you use the factory WRX backing plates? I assume this kit comes with new brackets for this conversion to work?

North American 02-05 WRXs will need a bracket b/c we got the 1-pot sliders and appropriate (smaller) backing plate.
