Hm, I thought the brackets are only needed for the classic Impreza

you can see the original caliper on the right side (lying on the swaybar)
I'm from Austria, I didn't need the brackets, maybe there is a difference.

North American WRXs weren't factory equipped with fixed 4/2 pot calipers until MY06. Heck, we didn't get turbo Imprezas until MY02.

If that's the case then wouldn't you just have to add the kartboy 2pot adapter brackets to the list of parts you need.

kartboy 2 pot will not fit brembo caliper. I think vendor, started this thread is suppose coming out with a kit that include brackets and rotors.

kartboy's do not fit as-is but with a little modification, it'll work. although, i'm not recommending doing such a thing

I did the conversion by myself, the only mechanic I'm trusting
Parts were 2100EUR (about 2800 USD) for following parts:

Used parts:
Brembo calipers front/rear
Brembo discs and pads rear
Brembo discs and pads front, for winter usage

New parts:
Brembo front caliper service kit (new seals)
Godridge bigger brake shoes
Brembo calipers mounting bolts front/rear
Ferodo DS2500 brake pads front
DBA5000 Brake discs front (2 piece rotors)
ATE Super Blue racing brake fluid

I hope I haven't forgotten anything

Greetings from Vienna, Austria

Brembo's should bolt right up to that backing plate.

could someone post, or PM with more info about the brackets / bigger pads? Such as who is selling them, how long will it take to get them, when will they be ready. Another Q I have is, the STi rotor is clearly bigger on the inside where it meets the hub (compared to the 02) does this size difference of where the hub meets the rotor affect anything ??
for parts so far, Ive the 04sti brembo rears, pads 04sti powerslot rotors, but have been looking for an affordable bracket / bigger ebrake pads (like the ones from godspeed) stateside. reading through the post and searching, all the info is alittle sketchy, and info I found in the past led me to believe it was just too much $ to add the rear brembos to myset up, and I could use some better info on it all. If someone could help me out soon, thatd be greatly appreciated as someone was gonna be buying my rear brembos sat, but this new info has me raising my eyebrow thinking hmmm maybe I should keep them.
thanks
