hey guys.
i need some help from people who have experienced my problem. i installed the h1 10k set on my 05 wrx. after i got them installed properly. when i went to test them, they didnt turn on. is it possible that i shorted the ballast? might of been a spark tht i didnt see. neither side turns on.? what shud i do? please help, very ashamed at myself if i did sumpn wrng.

which wires r u talkign about? im pretty sure something shorted. because both my fuses blew and had to replace them to get my fogs and high beams working. but h1's still didnt turn on

+1 for reverse polarity... The ground and power wire colors are reversed on the 05 headlight harness. Switch them around and use a test light to confirm the polarity. Its been stated on one of the HID write ups...search around and you will find it.

imm ahave to try the polarity trick tomm. well i hadta catch ur guys attention some how thanx for the input. and one more question? if my ballasts made a spark when it touched another piece of metal and blew out my headlight fuse. will that in soem way damage my ballast so it wont work ne more? |

anyone think that a relay harness would solve my problem?
what do i need to do to get my mccullochs working? |

try constant power and constant ground whould work no matter what, to rule out bad ballests and/or bulbs

i didnt have to go with constant ground and power.
didnt need a relay. just did the good ol' polarity switcha roo. 10ks looks great. thnx guyzz |

there is nothing wrong with your HID's. I have that Mcculloch kit, and it works great. Things that you could be messing up:
1) reverse the polarity. 2) try using the high beams. 3) replace the fuse. 4) check wiring. |

Red wiring from your HID connect it to the black wiring of your Headlight then black is to red...try that!!
