dad purchased the car in 1973 for 6400$, hahaha, drove it as a everyday for some time, then got a job in atlantic city and didnt want to put a ton of miles on it driving back and forth to work, so it was parked in my garage and never driven again, it was turned over to me at my college graduation as a present...that was 5 years ago....i finally got the energy to take the cover off after finishing up my wrx...i didnt want to see it sit for another 30 years and rot away after not turning the key for 21 years i thought it would be dead and siezed...i purchased a new battery just for ****s and jiggles, dropped it in and turned the key and the engine cranked...there was no spark, so i put in a new distributor and plugs, and got some spark, but now there was no fuel...put in a new fuel line, fuel pump, two new hoses, condensor, turned the key and VVVVRRRROOOOOOOOOOm!...she started, hahah i just filled out the application for insurance and dropped it off today, have to pick up temp card tomorrow,...and friday i am heading to DMV to get her registured and hopefully this weekend she will make her way to her first meet! ![]() |

My old 914 had the same wheels. I never thought I'd see them again!
![]() Great work jimtweet. The new bumpers are going to really change the look of the car, for the better. With all this talk of EJ swaps from Renegade Customs, clean 914's are going to be worth more than ever in the near future. |
