Talking Stoptech Brakes, Stainless Lines, Motul RBF600

Oh..............My................ GAWD!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This package is ......... uh....... WOW!!! I had the Stoptech's, the stainless lines, and the Motul fluid installed here at Prestige today. This is by far one of the most phenominal brake systems I have ever seen. The brakes feel like a different vehicle now.

Any spongy feel in the pedal is COMPLETELY gone. Brake response is absolutely IMMEDIATE as soon as your foot touches the pedal. I thought that due to the increased stopping power the ABS would act up and engage quicker, but it doesn't. Only under 75 MPH both foot stomps will it engage the ABS. The stopping distance feels tremendously shorter.

Under higher speeds the car feel so much more controlled under heavy braking, and the fact that the Stoptech stuff is actually lighter the car even feels different under low-speed cornering.

I am so glad I read Gary Sheehan's review about these brakes in the motorsports section a month or so ago. He was DEFINATELY RIGHT!!! I have had some hi-perf brake systems on other cars, including a Brembo set, but these are the best I have ever seen.

You have to make sure to bed the pads in properly but once they are set, you better be strapped in when you step on that pedal!

If anyone is considering a brake upgrade, I would recommend these to the highest degree. Besides the phenominal power and feel, they are absolutely beautiful! The calipers are an absolute work of art and the two piece rotor looks phenominal. Workmanship and fitment were also of the highest quality with the whole job including front and rear lines, and complete purge and refill of the system with Motul fluid only taking 2 hours.

(They look neat under my P-1's too )

IMO, this setup is a bargain for the performance that you will get out of it.

Well, that's enough writing I'm gonna go drive some more! Yeeehawww!!!!

Jerry
