So, I'm creating a database specific to Subarus that is far more granular than anything I've found that records quarter mile times and the setups used to get them. Everything else doesn't allow you extract any meaning from the data.
So, to cut to the chase, I'm trying to model turbos. For example: - brand - model - compressor_housing - turbine_housing - ported etc... wastegate (external or internal) will be stored at the car level. I feel like I'm way off. Like, should I have trim? Are things like Inducer and Exducer size useful? For Garrett turbos, I could simply use the specific model number, but I'm not really sure how this applies to other turbo's (IHI, AVO, etc.) and hybrids like (Element Tuning, etc.). What is the MINIMUM amount of data that I can have about a turbo that still provides the proper differential information from turbo to turbo but doesn't contain redundant information I'm posting here because it seems like this forum gets a lot of tuners and builders in it. |
