just thought i would share, in case any of you were in need of tuning in the AZ or NM area. quite awhile back i purchased my 06 wrx. suby tuners were damn near impossible to find in NM for the longest time. a friend of mine directed me to Cameron (06rexwagon, Camtuning inc).
i called him up to install a fmic and tune my 20g. considering the fact that he has 2 kids a wife and a dog, he worked his ass off to make a fmic, designed for another car, fit mine and look quite amazing. the tune itself was amazing. car felt great, pulled really hard and to this day, has been runnign very healthy. zero problems thus far on a daily horse beaten wrx with a 20g. his tuning ability speaks for itself and his vast knowledge of mechanical side of subarus and EVOs is a HUGE bonus. many tuners aren't familiar with the mechanical side and many mechanics are unfamiliar with the tuning side of cars. This dude is the whole package. now many people dread talking to tuners because they'll spit out words you don't understand or automatically assume that they can be an ass to you because they are providing you a service. cameron is one of the nicest guys you'll come accross and here is one individual who actually cares about his work after everything has been said and done. i strongly recommend anyone who is in AZ or NM to contact him if you need any work done. A+ on his work and A++ on service that you can't find anywhere else. pm me if you have any questions or pm 06rexwagon to contact him. for reference: 2006 wrx FP TD06H 20g 8cm APS FMIC APS 50/50 bov APS 3" turboback Hallman mbc SPT intake Camtuning coolant reservoire and probably a few things i can't remember

i'd love to throw some springs on and some wheels and take some snap shots.....but gawd things have been crazy lately..... full boost hits around 4kish BTW****** if you guys need some work dont to your car....i'd suggest pming dhunckyn(brian). pretty much can install anything and has done phenominal work with my car and has saved my ass plenty of times when i needed help. you know that iffy feeling you get when you have other people work on yuor car? not with brian. one of the best feelings you can have while upgrading your car is the reassurance of knowing good, honest work has been put into it and hell....service with a smile is always great too. keep up the great work brian/cameron |

He's getting his external wastegate installed this week then I'm going to take it to the dyno (this guy doesn't even have enough time off work to take it himself). Should do pretty well even on 91. The problem we've been running into with his car so far is that his turbo has an 8psi actuator, so the ewg should make a huge difference.

Cam tuned my car. Spent extra time to make sure the car would run good and safe. A lot more power in the low end and some more up top as well. Now I just need an exhaust and go stage 2.

Hey cam how things going for you? I really want to lean on the 20g idea but I am a bit scare on the tranny issue. How many miles you put on the your tranny with your 20g? Any specific things to deal with that problem? |

i've been running a 20g for almost 10k miles now. to be honest, i beat the **** outta my car, but i feather the clutch often and launched the car once at 3500 rpms. i drive pretty hard every single day, going through $50 of gas every 2 days. tranny is holding up great right now. i think uncorrected hp numbers at this altitude will net me less then 300whp. i might lose the tranny by the end of this week though =( ewg, exciting? kinda...scary? i'd like to think so...

+100 for the work Cameron and Brian do. Brian helped me install my TC a few weeks ago, heck even his "girl" friend helped out! Yep, you read that right a woman got as dirty and greasy as us boys.
Definitely hit up 06rexwagon and/or dhunckyn for their expertise!!! |
