Default Recomend a stg 2 map/ basemap for an 02WRX

Hey guys I currently have a p&p turbo, snorkel delete, down pipe with high flow cat, and drop in filter on my car. I am looking to tune my car to around stg2 with using a tatrix cable. I would like to boost around 16.5, however I would still like to get good gas millage and preferably on 91 octane.

Could someone provide me with a good ots or base map for me to use with minimal tweaking. 91 octane or 93 octane.

Also how would I fix the cels and problems associated with tgv deletes using eninuity or any other open ecu application.

For the CEL's you can uncheck them in Enginuity under Diagnostic codes. Just find the one that throws and disable it.

You can try the XPT stage 2 map from http://plasmatize.com/osecuroms/index.php. It is a tuner map really. Boost is pretty low and the tables have been smoothed but thats about it.

I have a stage 2 map I made for my WRX, same year, but I am not confident enough in it to hand it out yet. After a bit more tuning I might but for now, its gonna stay on my Laptop. Plus it is really a 93+ octane map right now as the tables can be aggressive in spots. I am taking it to the Strip tonight so I will have a real world report as to how well it worked.

On a side note, if anyone has any stage 2 tuned maps, not copyrighted ones, but self or open tune, I'd love to make some comparisons between them and mine. So far I feel that the EM tune has without a doubt given me the most bang for the buck of any Mod I have done.

As I have stated before, this should be the most popular forum.

I have a dyno tuned 02 map that I did on 91 octane at high altitude that you can use. It's for 17psi but you'll have to play with the wgdc and boost a little for your altitude. I can do it for you too.

The XPT map is better.

Broxma, how'd your car do at the track? I haven't had the balls yet to flash a map yet, and don't have the money for a good tune. I'll eventually breakdown and just buy an xpt map.

I ended up selling my APv1 and going the open-source route. I'm using the XPT Stage II map and love it. Also, if you end up getting it, you can send some datalogs to Braden (owner of XPT Tuning...username is Ev8siv3 or something like that) and he'll make look it over and make suggestions on what to tweak on the map if it's necessary to do so.

I smoked the clutch in three gears. It never dropped below 6800 rpm even at 39% throttle. Smoked it right off the line and never caught the entire 1/4. I shifted into 4th just as I crossed the line. Smoke filled the cabin, people thought I had blown the car up.

Still ran a 14.6 at 97 MPH. I think if it had caught at all, I at least would have had trap speeds in the 103-105 range which would have been a pretty fast run, maybe faster. It definitely made more power than my worn out stock clutch could ever dream of handling. The trap speed I got is not anywhere close to the E.T. I ran. 97 MPH should have been deep in the 13's.

I was running 97-98 octane, but the map worked flawless. It needs more testing at 93 octane on a few hot days to make sure it is safe all the time, but at 97, it was a monster.

I'll update when the new clutch is in and I can get more test runs. For now, I'm going to see about finding a stock 02-03 to build a stage 1 map for. I'm also going to contact the dyno tuners around here to get a few pulls and get some numbers.

Will this get rid of the CEL'S completely? Like can I hook my car up to the obd2 diagnostics port for my state safety inspection and not have it see any CEL's?

Yes, un check them and then reflash.

The XPT stage 2 map will pass OBDII tests as long as you pass the visual.
Just buy it, you will not regret it.

^^^ What he said. Unchecking the Codes in Enginuity disables the check for it entirely. It basically sets the ECU to not make a check for it at all.
