Contemplating the purchase of an '08 Impreza and was wondering what kind of gas mileage you're getting.
Thanks,
Dan

Default 08 WRX mileage

My 2008 WRX (5 door, manual, no premium package) had window sticker figures of 18/24. I'm actually getting MUCH better. 23-24mpg around town (within Colorado Springs city limits, but a suburban environment) and 28 or so cooking at 75+ on the highway. The highest mileage was on a mountain trip, 32mpg on a 120 mile round trip on two-lane switchback mountain roads. Speeds ranged from 40-65, and I was driving gently except for a half-dozen spikes passing rolling roadblocks (slow drivers) on the two-lane roads.

I previously had a 2.5i impreza w/man trans, and I figure I lost 2mpg average in the trade-up.

Glad you asked. my 2.5i knocked on regular, so I was running mid-grade in it. There's a 10 cent bump for premium in addition to the 2mpg I've lost.

Of course, if I cared I could run mid-grade in the WRX. Several WRX owners have told me their cars run fine on it - no pinging.

still breaking it in with 1200 on the odo and I'm averaging 25.5, 30 min commute to school both ways 5 days a week, local hilly driving otherwise. going on a highway trip of 500+ one way so I'll update when I get back.

I'm getting 27.8mpg with my 08 sedan 5 speed. Only 1100 miles on the clock, so I'm looking for another mpg or so. I'm happy. Beats my 95 legacy auto (25 mpg) and the 2008 has 35 more horse power.

I'm getting 21 MPG (according to the trip computer) on my brand new Impreza WRX, 5-spd manual, w/Premimum Pkg. It's This is still my first tank and I'm running it pretty hard. Way too fun to save gas yet.
Mostly hills, in-town, few lights. I'll update as thinks proceed.

How many miles on the OD? I'm in Colorado Springs too and go HW24 to the high country a lot. I'm hopping for 27 MPG to-from Skiing.

ok with 3100 on the odo in less than 3 weeks I'm still averaging 27mpg. I peaked out at about 32 on my way out to IL but it settled down and stuck at 27.

I'm haven't got my WRX yet, but my 200SX gets 35 mpg city, 46 highway. That's tiptop economy.

08 WRX manual = 21.3 mph with mostly city driving for my first tank of WI winter blend reformulated (blech!) gas. This is up 2 mpg from my average with my 02 WRX manual.
