Default Datalog through Printer port?

I have searched everywhere for this information but have come out empty handed. I have an obd2 scanner that connects via a printer port connector/obd2 port connector. I was just wondering if I can datalog using this cable hooked up to my laptop's printer port? What software would support this?
Thanks.

nope, the stuff you need to datalog isn't on OBD2 anyway, it is on the SSM protocol.
