Default Rescaling MAFg to go beyond 300g/sec on 2.5L wrx ROM ?

I understand that 2.5L WRX STI default with MAF Voltage versus airflow gram/sec table extended beyond 300gram/sec.

For wrx ,the table stop at 4.69V..29x g/sec air..

Question...as for 32bits processor used on WRX 2.5L..the internal storage should not be limited to 300gram/sec, right ? I knew 2.0L is limited by the internal representation of maximum scaling.

If we just want to stretch the top end abit..like extend the 4.69V to 4.8V to cover the full turbo airflow range..can we just do 2 things

1) Extend the MAF airflow table.e.g add 4.8V, make room for 4.8V by dropping some low usage MAF voltage cell.

2) Change the capping from 300g/sec to a desired new value.

My MAF scale goes to 350 stock. I am able to edit it up to whatever value I want.

The 06+ WRX will go to whatever you want it to. You're thinking of the 2L rom

There are tricks to get around the 300 g/s stuff.

You can use the MAF table posted here, it is a very good starting point for rescaling your MAF table to larger than 300g/s. EDIT: The flow values(g/sec) in the MAF table posted in the linked-to thread would need to be multiplied times 2.

thanks alot for all the prompt reply..this should set me ready to explore the stock MAF housing size tuning for bigger turbo on 32bits SH70xx processor ecu.

I am no fan of Big MAF tuning..due to stringent local requirement..poking the wideband on the exhaust ass and running around while tuning attract too much unnecessary attention.

Having said that, I dont mean wideband is not required..just that for normal fine tuning ,we can avoid using it.

This does not apply to the 32-bit ECU, which the OP has. There's no limit with these ECUs, only a capped value (usually 300 g/s) which can be raised easily. The MAF scaling table can represent any airflow value you want.

True. I only said to use the MAF table posted in that thread as a starter. BUT I did forget to mention that the flow values(g/sec) would need to be multiplied times 2.
