Default Speedo Sending Unit

I recently bought a digital speedometer to track the following:

1. My exact speed to the single units
2. My max speed
3. My quater mile time and speed

However, I can't seem to locate the speedo sending unit on my 02 WRX. Could someone help me locate it so that I can splice the wire to my digital speedo meter!

Thanks in advance!
