The BigHit is a Specialized classic. They keep making it year after year because it's an effective design that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Great bike that outperforms many bikes that cost 2x as much.

Bike for sale whore in ur thread. Some flexibility on price, especially for NESIC'ers. Any interesting trades considered.

I used to race mountain bikes for Kona on their Pro-development team, then Schwinn on their Homegrown team. I had a lot of cool bikes back then.

I rode some trails in the freetown/dartmouth area this weekend to try out my new bike. They weren't in bad shape. Some big puddles and mud but not too bad. Some jerks on motorcycles were tearing them up though.

I think I did a couple of races at Bear Brook. If I remember correctly it started out in a sand pit.

I gotta get up to some mountain in NH/ME/VT and try some downhill this year. It sounds great and I feel like a noob just reading half the stuff about it.

I'd like to, but I have to work. Stupid summer job!

The SoBe Energy Downhill Series is coming to Attitash 8/2-8/3. Should be a good turnout. I've ridden there about ten days this summer. The trails are rocky and technical, just the way I like them. I'd be there even more if I didn't split time between dh, xc and road riding.

Mmmmm, mountain biking... My RM Slayer is in about 12 pieces right now, awaiting new bushings. I should have it back together this weekend.

It's well past time for another NESIC mountain bike day.

I used to do that XC race. I raced against Cadel Evans, Tom Danielson and Tim Johnson in the mid-90s.

That was the worst suffering known to man. 90+degs every time, crazy uphill followed by a leg locking technical downhill long enough to get the acid buildup for the climb back up.
