Default Polishing frequency

I love polishing my car, i dont know why, but i do. Getting the buffer out, blah blah, its just fun.

Now how much is too much? I guess i give it a nice polish like once a month, no abrasive compounds or anything. Normally just the SFX-3 (sonus stuff).

Am i doing it too much? Am i just stripping paint off?

Thanks in advance

I believe SFX-3 does have fine abrasives in it. But if you are using a soft polishing pad and low speeds with no pressure you should be ok. If you like to use the machine just find a glaze that you like and a finishing pad and use as often as you want.

...here's a good article from David over at Autopia addressing that specific concern:

from what i understand the sfx3 is non abrasive, so i guess i should just spread my timing out. Try and do it once every 3-4 months instead of every month. I guess ill just start polishing my friends cars
