Default Just want to introduce myself.

Good day
My name is Mike and I'm from Canada. My wife was born, and spent much of her youth in, Anchorage. She absolutly loves Alaska and together we've watched probably every documentry about it that we could get our hands on. We're planning on coming up for a couple of weeks next summer and I thought I'd take the oppertunity to introduce myself a year before we do. We're going to be driving my wrx wagon up with a car full of dogs to camp and hike and generally explore.

So why introduce myself a year in advance? You see, I love subarus, and I'd love to meet some of you guys when I come up. I can count how many wrx's we have around my town on one hand and I've seen lots of nice rides from Alaska. I'll be poking around your local chapter from time to time in an attempt to get to know some of you. The other thing is, I really like Alaska. It's easily my favorite state. I like your liberal laws and your pioneer spirit. It takes balls to live up there and I commend you for it. From the documentries i've seen I can honestly say your state is also one of the most beautiful I've seen. I hope that you guys and gals can help me with any noob questions I have about your state as they come up.

I hope this clears up why I posted in one of your threads this morning.

Under hood shot:

It's a total rats nest in there. It's all very functional. I used 1" wide weather stripping, double wide and double tall on the intercooler and splitter to seal the intercooler directly to the splitter. It's not pretty but it works very well. It stands up to car washes, snow, and everything else I could throw at it.

I'll have some dyno numbers when I get it tuned for the meth. It throws down more then a 06 STi though. Or at least it's faster. Personal goal with 50/50 meth is 325 whp.

Nice ride; how's the APS turbo doing for ya? I've heard a lot of not too nice things about them.

Ya i think that their inlet and the S/R30 is the only things they make that works as well as they claim it does. The Turbo has been great. Stock like spool with way more power, which is what I wanted when I built the car. I bought the turbo used for $650 over a year ago, put on 10000 miles at 21 psi, and still no shaft play or any signs of it giving up.

As for my photobucket account, that event was when I learned how to make it private. My wife has read, and approves of this thread.
