Default Stage 2 WRX 1/4 mile time

I have an 04 WRX stage 2 OTS Cobb, my best time was 15.3 @ 95mph.
My buddy's 07 SRT-8 Dodge charger has a best time of 14.9 @ 94mph.
This is at 4,000 ft elev. and 95+ degree weather.

I've never had a good launch the whole time, I guess I'm scared that I might still break my RA gears. How fast does a stage 2 02-05 WRX usually runs, can you guys post you time?

I really do think I could have done better, I was not pushing my car to the limits as far as launching and flat foot shifting(granny shifting). Like I said can you guys post your time? I wanna see the difference between sea level.

According to NHRA correction values @ sea level that would be about 13.6 @ 99,.. not to bad if that is all the mods you have,...
Get an Uppipe.

My stage 2 OTS map with larger TMIC and uppipe ran a 13.8 @ 101 with a 1.9 60ft. You seem to be right inline assuming you had a similar crappy 60 ft. Congrats!

Oh BTW, I would be rather impressed if you broke STi RA gears with a stage 2 WRX...you shouldnt be that scared to launch!

Oh wow I did not know that. I should not baby my tranny then, but then again I should not abuse either.

So my time is about 13.6 at sea level, nice. Thanks for making my day.

At your elevation and temps that run isn't too bad.

At 600 ft elevation in 50 degree weather my cobb ots stage 2 map with catted dp and stock sti catback went 13.9 @98 or so

With a gutted uppipe and my own tune it went 13.2 @101

Cob leaves a lot on the shelf with ots maps.

Word. At Cobb Stage2, I went 13.89 @ 9x at 105degrees at 484 feet. With a pro-tune (I also added an uppipe, how relevant ) I went 13.3 @ 103 at 107degrees at 484 feet.

Nice runs for the conditions. Practice practice practice, you'll get even better. Drive down to my neck of the woods, near sea level, and you'll be amazed how much better your car runs, and how much faster it is

You guys think I'll hit the 12 sec mark If I get a protune with my mods? I'm trying to get one from DBTUNED, and Paul sounded pretty confident about it no need for 100 octane map, for now.

I'm assuming TBE exhuast? Not with the conditions at your track. With a good tune corrected to sea level you could run a low 13, maybe a high 12 if you get everything perfect. you should gut the uppipe or get an aftermarket one before tuning it.

Not at your elevation, without a 100mph tailwind. Corrected numbers, maybe, but you won't see it on your timeslip. The best mod for your car is to come down about 4000 feet

my best run on Cobb stage 2 (Cobb TBE, Vishni UP, Perrin turbo inlet and intake) was 13.9@99 at Pacific raceway (elev. close to sea level) on a sunny 90-ish degree day. 1.9 60 foot and had wheel spin in 1st, 2nd, and a little in 3rd (on dying RE92's).

I really really really really don't think so. I'm Stg. 2 w/ meth at 21psi and i barely broke into 12s.

I just had my wagon at the Atco racetrack today. It took a few runs but I pulled a 13.1 @ 104 with a 1.8 60ft. Its opensource tuned with a catless tbe, uppipe, sti intercooler, y-pipe and a lwcp. The racetrack is close to sea level, about 60 degrees out, with a quarter tank of 93 octane it it. It was first time ever racing any car at the track, so I'm hopin' thats at least average for the mods I have...

I really dont know how much elevation will affect your car, however I've ran a 14.6 @ 91 I believe on a bone stock 2.0 04 wrx.

I'm Stage II'd now, so hopefully I can nail a 13 this time around. btw, that 14.6 was with a 2.0 60' time.

I really would think you should be faster, but the launch is EVERYTHING, if your afraid to abuse your car, the dragstrip is not the place for you.

I'm not really into abusing my car that much either, so I won't try to shave every 10th of a sec off my time with repeated runs, I just drag to see my traps and to have a little fun.

So get out there, give your car a good dump at around 5000 and hold on tight.
