Mine is only gaffer taped on at the mo dude, its just a mock up. Ive made brackets for the sides and need to fix it every few inches or so with a pannel stud.

Id say turn the car around so the light is on the front and we can see the definition better, but from what I can tell, it looks great for a mock-up! Thanks for the link too, definitly looking into one of those.

so you plan on running it 3" down, i've tried this and failed miserably when entering a driveway

a slightly thinner lip IMO is OK, as with many rally cars they do get scraped up and lose height my only issue is when you're going at 40+ mph if the lip deforms and becomes basically useless due to the flexible nature of the material..

when you are done though do share how you did it

I think i might whip 5mm or so off of the bottom so its not as low.

Ive made aluminium reinforcements for the sides though. So should be plenty stiff enough.

I don't think it looks crap, but I'll be honest and say I don't think it jives as well as the other parts. It looks too flat and thick for me... takes away any aero effect the prodrive lip had doesn't it?

I would think since the car is so hardcore and functional so far, this piece (fat flat lip) doesn't mix.

But its only an opinion really... If nothing else, at least trim a bit off...

Doesn't look crappy and I like it, but maybe it'll be perfect if you paint it(black) to give it more solid looking?

Dont think i could paint the rubber dude.

Heres one ive mocked up with a 2.5" cut. Its slightly shallower than the 3" one before.

What do you think?

Please bare in mind if i do fit this it will be rigid and straight its only on with gaffer tape at the mo. Its just a mock up as before

Oops, it looks so great that I forgot it's made out of rubber.

both 2.5'' and 3'' are great but I prefer the 2.5''. 3'' just a bit too big IMO

Man I wanted to like it... really love the WRC car's lip, but in my opinion I'd leave it off forever. I just think it takes away from the rest of the car too much, as it doesn't do anything proven for you like everything else on the car.

How very diplomatic ha ha.

Ive decided to leave it off for now as i too am not 100% about it.

Yesterday i finally ordered my clutch for the new engine, exedy hyper twin plate on its way.

The new 2.5 is getting closer

Nothing much to shout about but my Tial 50mm race BOV turned up today. Its a V-band design that has a separate weld on flange it fixes to. The flange is coming separate as i need a stainless on for my pipework. Once thats here i'll get this fitted.

Slightly overkill but this thing is massive. Should have no trouble at all dumping the air out of the system in double quick time.
No really a fan of BOVs but the car has a slight jerk to it on the gear changes at lower RPM with the new cooler. Hopefully once im running a blow through MAF on the new engine along with the Tial it should be sweet.

Just look at the build quality!!

Cheers dude,

My progress has slowed right up at the moment as my next job is the engine build. Im going to WRC germany in August and did think about getting it built and in beforehand but i really dont want a deadline. I want to be able to have the motor out and spend time cleaning the bay and making everything just how i want it... brackets etc etc.

Ive spent the last year sorting all the parts for my build so another few weeks wont hurt.

Cant wait to ditch the 2ltr for a built 2.5.
