question...will a coilover specific to the BP5/ BL5 (2005-2009) legacy fit my 02 wrx? (I can run sedan suspension because I have sedan control arms)

Thank you ahead of time. I have searched but came up with nothing.

No, the 2005+ Legacy uses a completely different rear suspension design that doesn't use a strut.

Pretty sure it does. Swaybar bushings are different for the different mounts though.

Ok, these question may not get answered but... the car is 1993 Subaru Impreza front wheel drive
I've found struts & springs I'm going to use (KYB GR-2 & Eibach Pro-kit drop 1.0f/1.2r) I'm wondering about sways now; the forum states essentiall all rear sways from 93-07 base, RS, and WRX will fit, what about Front sways & links? thanks guys

Well... the "I" in NASIOC is for Impreza. That's what most people have and it's what most people know. If you want to dig up information about the Legacy I am sure people would be happy to include it.

Well you would need to be looking for a front sway designed for a 2.5rs/2.5i for sure since the normally aspirated cars have significantly different exhaust routing than turbo cars. Now the fact that you have a FWD model will compund fitment issues. I would source a junkyard 2.5RS sway and see how close the bends are and check the overall length. I kind of doubt it's going to swap but you never know.

In response to post #3,

"2004-2007 Impreza WRX, WRX Wagon, 2.5RS, 2.5 RS Wagon, Outback Sport"

I have a Perrin WRX front sway bar on my 2.5i. A little pounding of the subframe was done, but I don't think it was necessary. It is a very snug fit.

You're serious- you want to lift your legacy? The OEM Outback springs from that year should work. If that isn't enough, the Baja from that year would have had stiffer rear springs at least and may have included a slight bump in ride height all around. I put a 17mm rear sway bar from a Baja onto my '00 Outback and it really improved tha balance over the stock 14mm bar while still keeping the car tame enough for my 65 year old father to like it.

Why do you want to put coilovers on a 2.5i?

KW just came out w/ the V3 series for the 08's. 2.5i/WRX still the same as fars as we know. As usual STi appears different.

I went ahead and did this (KYB AGX + WRX Prodrive Springs + Camber Plates) and I am extremely pleased with the results.

The ride height is within a couple mm's to what it was with the stock springs and the handling is definitely greatly improved. The car is a lot more stable through the high speed sections (of AutoX/RallyX courses) while being extremely responsive in the slow stuff... it is almost point-and-shoot now.

The ride is great on the street as well.

So to anyone who wants a great performing and reliable rallyX & autoX setup for their GC (GM...etc) bodied Impreza - GD WRX Prodrive springs FTW!

The 05+ STI information says that WRX rear endlinks will not fit an STI. I do know that the rear STI endlinks are straigt, not curved. But do the "C" shape WRX endlinks really not work? Is it because the distance between the bolt holes is different?

I have a set of Whiteline HD rear endlinks that I was hoping to use in an 05 STI until I read this thread.

I noticed you just had a short stub for steering racks.

from 04 sti/wrx to 05 wrx/sti I think the rack changed? So that if you want to use the rack you need the cross member and depending modification.

for example:
legacy gt wrx

wrx/sti

you're question was probably ignored because it was too basic for the purpose of this thread. In short, it will not work. The holes on the WRX lateral links are on the underside of the link, necessitating the "C". The STi's holes are on the top, resulting in a radically shorter link as well.
