Default problems with new paint-anyone else?!

Dark Blue Ridge Pearl 2002 Impreza. Tree goop ate right thru paint on door top to metal. I don't think this is normal on a 2 month old car that I've waxed and kept care of. Any others out there with related problems with paint?

Thanks, Paolo

How long was the goop on the car for? Subaru's are known to have pretty cheap paint. You could try taking it to the dealership but if you leave tree goop or bird crap on your car which are both known to cause paint damage there may not be much you can do.

Of course the dealership would paint (for the lack of a better word) the car as being "durable." If you want the real scoop, talk to the owners.

Most cars nowaday, have very thin, "cheap" paint. It is due to the "environmentally friendly" technique of painting cars today.

LaterZ!
