So for the first time in 4 years I am finally using a turbo manifold......
So I needed to make a custom uppipe....... Other than the ugly (but fully funtional!) welds, what is wrong with this picture? ![]()

you might run into clearance issues.
why do you think the stock up-pipe has bends instead of a 90? probably going to hit front cross member. |

it looks to far back, is it going to hit the axel or firewall?
also you didnt weld a flange to the header, i'd imagine that it would be a nightmare to put on. |

I am welding with an old bottle of pure CO2.... But while ugly!!! they are good and strong.
Bottle is almost empty and am going to get the CO2 Argon mix, or whatever exactly it is that makes welds look robotic. ![]() I just took a picture of the uppipe installed |

The pipe coming out of the top of the supercharger leads to the FMIC.

From memory the M62 flows to about 300-320whp efficiently - having it mounted the you have, won't it limit airflow and power?

Not really.
Here is the last dyno sheet, 26 psi, supercharger belt jumped where the power lets off. 390 torque @ 3800 rpm, 350 whp @ 5000 rpm, with it obviously climbing. |

remember about cylinder closest to up-pipe.
and why factory up-pipe has the 2 bends, trying to keep heat away from that rear cylinder. but you knew that already.. |
