Swap is possible as it already has been done.
Search around. Last pics I saw car was for sell. That was earlier this year.

just for anyone who finds this thread and see the stupidity in it, EJ20r is TT one has no wastegate at all, 270+hp; ej20h is a TT both have a waste gate 250hp range, ej20g was up to 96 two diffrent versions came in early legacys, impreza wrx/STi 240hp-270 depending on year and versions.

so guys know its old but damn. i felt more retarded for reading this.

Hmm I never realized the EJ20R that sit inside legacy wagons made them STi versions.

I guess they just didnt badge em that way...................

the 20h is a 4 plug ecu and the 20r is the newer tt version and it's a 3 plug. think of it like a ej20g compared to a ej20k.

here's a 20h in a impreza

nice pic, would i find issues putting ej20tt in my 04 wrx? your brake booster fit, but can i fit it in a lhd wrx?
im gonna be running FMIC if needed. because everyone gives opinion but where are the fact and dicriptive talk? i wanna know why you cant cause it wont fit cause the 04 wrx coilover plugs wont swap? exhaust is easily fabricated, and yes it is a 2.0 engine running on vacuum boost so what the big deal? anyone explain cause i got a wrx with no engine and im looking for a unique easy swap but with minimal hassel and if the brake boost is in the way or the sterring colums is in the way how can you change this? i have thorottle linkage so that isnt the issue. ecu runs on a 2.0 so in my eyes it can be done
however buying it and droping it in with fitment problems are the only thing i see still confused on with only hyptheticals to off of.

pm me with any help or links if possible plz

With the TT engines, no news is good news?

I'm looking at possibly installing one in the back of my Corvair mounted to a Porsche trans. It should fit back there without too much issues. No worries about steering or brake boosters in the back. The Corvair is a factory turbo car with a stuck engine, I'd like to keep with the turbo theme and bring it up a few decades in the engineering department.

Parts for RHD swap
Steering Rack, Dash Bar, Rhd Pedal box, Master cylinder?
Can I cut the brackets out of the left side and swap over to the right?
Can I use the old steering column

I should explain my idea first.

I have a 93 L wagon 1.8 fwd.
I would like to attempt a ej20r or 208 swap!
I am not asking if these ebay engines will fit!

I do have a lot of questions though.
I have done hours upon hours of forum searching.
I need someone to run the checklist for me and help if things I forgot. Keep in mind that the car will be mostly stripped and Im gonna run it with no heater/blower/cruise/radio/ac/wipers or anything else i dont need. It'll be weekend fun car not a DD.

Rhd drive parts should be easy to come by(left over clip swaps)
Awd parts could be sourced from a junkyard(except diff)
TT crossmember?
correct instrument panel?
ej20r with 5mt(4.44 gears)

All help would be good, need ideas and help planning preparing. Dont worry Im not running out and buying a engine to scratch my head but I dont wanna hear "dont do it buy a single" either.
Let me have some ideas, have some fun with this, should be a cool first build for me.
