Default EJ22T into 97 Impreza

I have swapped a ej22t into my 97 impreza. the whole swwap is done, i am using a STI turbo and a WRX intercooler. everything else on the motor is completly stock. i am using stock computer and stock wiring harness that was on my original motor. i have no check engine lights. at idle or when i hold the throttle steady the RPMs will jump about 1000 RPM. so if i take it to 3000 the rpms will jump from 3000 to about 4000 and then when i let the throttle go it will stall. and when i take it for a ride and push in the clutch to stop the car will stall, everything else seems to be ok. ANY HELP???????????

seems like i read turbo l's thred or someones about an after market management system (like greddy emanage) that has some sort of anti-stall feauture. i read about this stalling thing somewhere else too.

Does "original" mean you using the computer and harness from the 97 Impreza? Because it's ECU wouldn't know what to do about boost, and wouldn't necessarily react properly to sensors on the ej22t.

You should also tell us what sensors are from the Impreza and what from the ej22t. For example, MAP? MAF?

I am using all the sensors and the wiring harness off the 97 impreza. i was told that OBDII on the 97 impreza would be able to compensate for the boost as long as i wasnt boosting any crazy numbers.
