Impreza WRX STi first generation STI... engine swap

hey I want to start a porject with a first generation sti. but the thing is that the engine that I want to drop in is a WRX STi EJ20t(5 version) and I dont know much about swaping engines in subaru's. so i dont know if the engine that I want to drop in would fit and if it doesnt then what can I do to make it drop in nice. also what could I do about the tranmission would I need to upgrade to a new 1.. basically I need to know what I need to get to make the swap complete and running smooth thanks

read the sticky at the top first of all... that should answer all your questions... second all ej engines are pretty much snap in snap out i.e. they are all interchangable... same with transmissions, they have the same mounting and bolts so they fit everything you'd know this if you read the sticky sorry for being mean

lol ur not being mean..I came to this web site to found out about this swap and if it could be done...so I dont know what a sticky is lol were do I go to read the sticky?
