Default 05 wrx with 07 motor swap problems.?

I did a 07 wrx motor swap in a 05 chassis. I have everything back in the car and it cranks. ECS did the wiring for me. The check engine light is on. I took the car to the dealer to get the keys and transponder programmed and the car has no communication with the ECU. So i either have a bad wire somewhere or the ECU is bad. The problem is a ECU is 600 bucks and non refundable if that isnt the problem. i looked over every ground and sensor and everything appears to be correct. Whats my best option? go for a new ECU or go stand-alone? Is there something stupid im missing?

I do NOT agree. If there is a wiring fault you could burn that one out too!

Instead borrow someones car and use your ECU in it to see if it works. That way there is no chance of damage.
