Default 06 O2 sensor work with 03 WRX engine swap

Hi guys,

Does anyone know if a 06 sti o2 sensor will work in my 03 WRX swap? I know the plugs are different, 06 sensor has a female plug and 03-05 WRX has a male plug. I have a bad 03 o2 sensor. Both o2 sensor have the same colored wires. I'm thinking soldering the 03 wrx plug to the 06 sti sensor. Do you guys think it will work?

Thanks,
Nick

It should work. The only thing I would do if i were me is check the heater resistance to make sure it isn't dramatically different. As long as they are the same number of wires you should be ok. I think they are all 4 wires now anyway..
