why? 17x7.5 is the same size as the oem wheels. if you're going to be buying new wheels, at least upgrade...

so go wider rim, wider tire?
only reason i asked was, i just bought a set of tires for my stock sti wheels and wanted a new look but still utilize the tires, but i guess i could sell them as a set? wider..................never thought of that, and i should have being an avid off roader.....lol.... i just thought wider on a street vehicle would be pointless unless im having traction issues. thanks for the reply's |

well of course go wider.. only reason you'd wanna go smaller is for snow or something
but you still haven't stated what wheels they are exactly |

All the '04-'07 Sti used the same RE-070 tyre. The '05-'07 got 17x8 wheels. As Dan said it's clearance between the front caliper face that says "Brembo" and the wheel disk (spokes) that make or break an STi fitment over a WRX for 17+ dia.

^ there is stuff that will fit with no problem, and then there is stuff that will look good and take a little bit more to fit

Sometimes a small spacer will make a wheel fit (3-5mm), but you need to be closer to the stock offset for that trick to work well.

Might want to buy your wheels here:
http://www.fastwrx.com/rotagforce.html I googgled "Rota G Force Wheels" and guess who was at the top of the search? After comparing shipping you might be pleasantly suprized at Dan's at your door price compared to that e-bay site. He already may have helped you save a 25% restocking charge on your first choise. You know they will fit. Just a thought from a satisfied customer. |
