good job. i like this kind of creativity. i don't have an ikea within 100 miles of me, but i may check out walmart for a similar knock-off product.

looking forward to the pics. also, what was the process of getting the cuts and holes exact? you said you copied the dimensions, but that is very accurate. what exactly did you use as a reference?

ok well im going to do a jdm sti mudflap wright up after these but pretty much what i did was i took the dimensions for the JDM STI mudflaps and measured out those dimensions on the cutting board....then i put the stock mud flap on top of the cutting board lining up the top part of the stock flap with the top part where you started the lines to cut then i got a little marker and put that through the stock mud flap holes onto the cutting board and then cut....you have to cut the holes on the front flaps kinda big so you can adjust if needed....heres some pics of me measuring and what not the last pic is a tracing of one of the flaps but to get the holes where you need them and the curvature you just place the stock flap over that...you'll see what i mean when you try it and ill have more pics and better description in the write up

ok so I'm doing this tomorrow. My question to anyone reading is where do I mount the flaps on my wagon? I circled the two obvious holes but where is the third? do I make one?

you may only need those two. Is that at a front or rear wheel?

Have you driven these off road or on wet/raining roads yet?

I would be really surprised if these didn't curl up at the bottom after about 1-2 times in dirt/heavy rain.

Looks nice.

Some local rallyX guys have been using some $5 trucker mudflaps from autozone to do the same thing.

Good thinking.

haha i would make them for you but im not sure where the bolts are on your 06 sti.

and thanks guys ...i love the way they look and cant wait for my RS hood and bumper to get here so i can paint the car flat black ...

and i dont go offroading so i wont have to see the fury it does to the mudflaps ...but no i havent driven in the rain yet....highway 80mph twice now and still look great and no bends or creases so they are holding up great ...

On your picture to the right of the bottom hole you circled. Where it indents the most into the wheel well there's another plug (yours is really dirty haha) The rallyarmour ones come with a plastic spacer so there are 3 holes to attatch it on. If you don't see what i'm talking about tell me and i'll circle it for you on your picture.

well I just finished up. I think they turned out really well. I just ended up drilling a new hole for a third bolt, which worked well. I'm a little skeptical on how they will hold up due to the type of driving I do but I have a 700 mile trip thursday to test them. Here are some pictures I took really quickly, yes my car is filthy.
Thanks for the idea to the OP
