Well, I ordered some prodrive bumpstops from them about 3 days ago....before reading this thread and then thought to myself OH $h1t!
Just got an email from them saying my paypal pmt didn't match my verified address b/c I payed by bank acct. and that I should resubmit my payment to them. So I did just that, except not to them. I ordered some koni ones throught ground control. Hope they work as well as the prodrive units.

From their Head Tech named HI or HAI?

He said it would fit my car a 2002 WRX...I took it to Ben at ATP here in Tempe, and he said it was a turbo from a Grand National, or a Trans Am. I have to be honest and say that this turbo was sold to me as a GT-30 turbo, and I knew no better than to say, YES I BELIEVE YOU. But it turns out this is a turbo that was from a customers car that blew up. I guess some guy named PAT at Vivid built an engine and had this turbo attached to it, and the engine blew up. Ben at ATP here in Tempe said the turbo is in good condition, but Hai does not want to give me the money back that I paid for this thing. I was sold a "BOLT ON" Subaru turbo that was sold to me as a GT-30 Garrett.

So what should I do? Sell it on Ebay? Sell it back to Hai? Does anyone know Hai? What should I do?

If you paid with a card then you should dispute it with them. If you didn't then you just learned an expensive lesson.

Definitely dispute payment via your credit card for the turbo.

I am not certain, he said it would bolt up to my WRX, I took it to ATP Turbos here in Tempe, and they said it came out a Grand National. Hai said it came from a dude name "Sonny" with a Black STI that is supposed to be pumping 700-800 HP. I know the car, I don't know the guy. It's in great shape, and I am just going to dump it on Ebay.

Do you happen to know anything about it?

Please let me know if you do. This is kind of an interesting turbo, and I could use it, but it is going to take to much modification of my car to make it worth while for me.

Well, even after knowing this thread exisited...I called and ordered 2 t-shirts from Abe @ Vivid. They were shipped that day, with a tracking # and I received exactly what I ordered.

If you guys have to order from Vivid...call and talk to Abe; he owns a bugeye wagon and supports the subie community!

No you can't....sorry..I worked for them for a time, 9 months, and they sacrifice any intellectual advice for a China made product. I walked into Dan Mermelstein s office and asked him what he wanted his turbo kit to do, and he said...."I want a turbo to hang on it" Now really.....really....a turbo to hang on it? Lets just throw out flow....pressure....back pressure....boost....air/fuel ratio.....aero dynamics.....engine management.....desired HP/Torque...or maybe port and polishing of the intake? Really....does Dan have a concept beyond a fifth grade level of design or engineering? NO HE DOES NOT!

If you want to throw your face in front of two people who sacrafice performance or quality for the $$$$ then by all means....go to town Charlie Brown. But they are on the short bus for design or engineering....

their rich car people they just throw cash at the poor schmuck who actually has to install the crappy made, And way over priced agency power parts. !!
were us suby guys do most of are own work so it's a little harder too bull **** us.
but there are the posers who just buy cars because it's the hot thing in style or popular. To these guys I really dont give a rats ass about them. **** them !
