Default proffesional detailing

im just curious whats the goin rate for a professional detail? and whats involved?
the reason i ask is i like my paint picture perfect and ive gotten close with off the shelf meguires products, but just once i would like to spoil my car and take it to a pro for some paint reconditioning.
wats the goin price , also what kind of results should i expect?
also my paint is currently in A- condition, some small scratches, swirl marks and some sapp damage.

....price will vary based on a number of factors. ....as will quality, experience, knowledge, etc. Your best bet is to ask other members in the regional forums to see who they might recommend in your area (and what they typically pay). I've seen many who call themselves "professionals" on various car/detailing forums but really have no clue (or are "car wash" caliber at best). If you're looking for high quality, the key is to find a real detailer who knows what they are doing. .....just be prepared to pay for that level of work though.

As mentioned above.. keep in mind; you get what you pay for. The $150 detail is not going to be nearly as involved as the $500 detail.

all those above plus its what your particular market can bare as some have already mentioned.

I would say as a low $40 an hour to $75 per hour.

a typically exterior paint correction detail will be about 10-20 hours depending on what the car needs or what the customer wants.

...agreed, $40-80 per hour for paint correction depending on the market. If your paint is in as good a condition as you say it souldn't take too long.

Yep, you will get varying rates depending on who you go to, and how extensive the detailing work is going to be.
