I'm currently running 18x8 Rota Tarmac 3's with Kumho Esta ASX's 235/40/18. I also have Swift Sport Springs, Ohlins struts, and rolled fenders.

I'm looking to buy another set, possibly, Rota Torque Hyperblack 17X9. I want quiet, all-season tires, and 245/40/17. Would this set-up be a problem with rubbing? Could I fit 245/45/17's?

Any recommendations? Possible quotes?

Thanks
The 04 STi and WRX have similar wheel fitment. I would recommend sticking with the 18x8.5 +44 model if you are on springs, fitment will be easier and you will be able to run a wide tire. I would not recommend a 255/40 as this tire is too tall, if you want to run a 255 go with a 35 series sidewall as this is the proper match to your stock rolling diameter. To fit this setup you will need rolled rear fenders If you have any other specific questions feel free to PM me

I would recommend sticking with a 245/40/17 tire as this is a nice match to your stock rolling diameter and will not cause fitment issues, a 45 series tire is too tall for this setup. Fitment will depend on your alignment settings, some of our customers don't rub on factory alignment settings while others occasionally do. Just know that you might need to get a set of rear camber bolts and dial in slightly more negative camber These wheels are also in stock and ready to ship/get tires mounted up. I sent you a PM with some wheel/tire quotes.

i am very interested in a set of Rota Grids 18x9.5 for my 08 STI but i was wondering if they came in a 42ish offset since i dont wanna get real aggresive. I am on stock suspension right now and will probably go with a 1" drop on swift springs. Also i would like to nothave to use a spacer. So let me know what you got or can get that would be what im looking for. Oh and color im looking for is hyper black.

Thanks
Mike

The 18x9.5 Grid wheels have a lot of concave which limits caliper clearance in a high offset. We do not have plans to release a higher offset for these wheels as the current 18x9.5 +38 model already requires a small 5mm spacer in front to clear STi Brembo calipers.

We have a new 18" wheel coming out around March that will be very wide and allow for a higher offset to clear STi Brembo calipers

Haha yea they are awesome wheels. It's a wheel I've been pushing Rota to release as we've needed some wide 17" 5x100 wheels for a long time If you have any questions be sure to PM me!

The 18x9.5 +38 Grids in Flat Black are $950 shipped. We are special ordering these right now and taking deposits for pre-orders. If you are interested in reserving a set let me know!

18" DPT pricing is not set as the wheels are still in mold fabrication. I will be posting more info when these are nearing production.

The 17x9 +30 Torque's have an aggressive fit and will take a bit of work to fit. You are already at a good start with a set of coilovers as you can easily adjust ride height and camber. Ultimately it depends on your tire size but you will for sure have to roll your rear fenders. With a 235/40/17 tire you only need rolled rear fenders and possibly a bit of additional camber depending on your ride height and dampening setttings. If you plan to go wider then you will need rear camber bolts and a bit more negative camber on your alignment.

We have plenty of 17x9 5x100 +30 Torque's in stock and also the new 17x9 5x100 and 114.3 DPT's

Here's a picture of 17x9 +42 DPT's in Flat Black, the wheel will look identical however the +35 model will sit exactly 7mm further out. The +42 model is in stock and ready to ship in Flat Black and actually it fits very well and will allow for a wide tire and minimal mods, the +35 model is in production right now and is expected late Feb/early March.

17x9 +42 with a slightly stretched 235/40/17 tire on forum member Frem's ride.

The Grid's in 18x9.5 +38 only come in Matte Bronze, White, Gold, and Hyper Black. Hyper Black just sold out last week however I have more on order. Here's a picture of these on a White Suby

For Flat Black I do have a few sets of the Grids in 18x8.5 +44 Flat Black in stock. These fit very well and look awesome, no shots on White but here's a picture of these on my black WRX.

No problem Michael! I'm glad you are happy with the wheels The 18x8.5 Grid's in Matte Steel Grey look awesome on your ride If you ever take new pictures definiately post them up, I'd love to see other shots of your ride!
