woot!
Laying out my parts ![]() bustin' nuts ![]() huge difference between oem and ALK ![]() almost done. ![]() ![]() some notes: -184ft/lb is a LOT of torque. I broke an adapter before manning up and using proper 1/2" tools. -stock end nut is 22mm, while the Whiteline nut is 24mm. Be sure to have your tools ready, as these don't come in the average kit. I love the mod so far. I still have to get it aligned, but in the bit I was able to drive this morning, I fell in love. Steering feel is lighter, and the wheel corrects itself going back to center. I can't wait to feel what it's like with the c/o and wheels. ![]() Finally, I have to give it up for this little tool. ![]() Craftsman mini-impact wrench. I asked for a cordless impact for x-mas, hoping that it would be able to do wheel lugs. Unfortunately, this little tool doesn't have the torque to break wheel studs. Not all was lost though, as it's strong enough to do a lot of projects on the car. Using the cordless is effecient as it is, but once you add a little impact, wow. Well worth the $100 or so it costs. cheers. ![]() |

I know it will clear the 4 pots, but I thought the normal 2 pot WRX brakes won't work even if the wheels are rally spec.

I noticed when I installed my ALK kit that the spacers make the subframe hang lower. I had to cut one of the front mounting holes off of the aero under panels so they would still sit flush against the chassis. I like the better handling of bumpy corners though.

Which ALK is good for street and spirit driving? Whiteline Race or Basic? Does the WL ALK has the "sport" version?
