Try using a clay bar. In my opinion Auto Magic brand Clay Magic is the best. They come in kits with clay and lubricant for around $15

Like this, but they're available at any auto parts store too.

Would that clay bar work for getting seeds off my car? i live in an apt under trees, and they drop seeds that stick to the car and are extremely hard to get off. i can pick them off with my fingernail, but thats bad for the finish and would take forever. do you think that would work?

Mineral sprirts should work. Blot it on with a rag and let it sit. Repeat if necessary. Then wipe off.

all you guys can use either reducer, or thinner (automotive). i use it at work all the time to get tree sap or yellow/white paint from wet lines on the road. works great, just wash the car immediatly after, do it in the shade, and then seal the paint after.

That Goof-Off stuff works pretty well. Maybe that's worth a try.
