free bump for a question...

if you wanted the suby (non-sit) 4 pot front, 2pot rear brake calipers, wouldn't you want to use the WRX hubs?

Yes, but I also wanted to upgrade to the stronger R180 hubs for rallying and so I can run Brembos for tarmac events and 4 pots for gravel events. Plus, my local rally shop has tons of 4-pot rotors for R180 hubs in stock. So, basically I'll be swapping brakes back and forth. Also, in rallying, you break axles and finding spare sets of DSS axles will become increasingly difficult. For the average high HP street car, DSS axles on WRX hubs would be more than adequate. Really, these axles are ideal for someone who has already invested in a brake kit for R160 hubs but also wants to do a 6MT swap with an R180 rear diff.

if you own a wrx 5spd and upgrade to a r180 rear diff with this axel conversion would the an issue with the gear ratio on the different diffs?

Yes, unless you swap your center differential to a 1:1. The stock differential is 1.1:1 which is why the front ring and pinion is 3.9 while the rear is 3.54. You would also need to modify your driveshaft as the flange is bigger on the R180.

The 1000hp axles are $1849. The 500hp axles are still available for $1199.

I believe these are the 500 HP axles. I stated 400 WHP in my ad.
