I've got a drag bike, unfortunately it's about to go up for sale since I'm now joining the masses and getting laid off.

What's the deal with the extra long swing arm?

ccc_wrx04 and slodsm those bikes look clean. I need to take some good pictures of mine while it still looks good.

The extended swing arm is for drag racing. He can floor it in first gear and not worry about it wheeling too high. Kills handling but improves acceleration a lot.

I will make another thread about the ride when I get all the info. I hadn't rode that dirtbike in awhile and last time I took it out the clutch went out on me. If all goes to plan I should have it in by the end of this week. Then we should get a date set for the ride.

I've got an '07 sv650s that I commute and do track days on.
though I may be about to sell it, and maybe get a KTM 450exc to dual sport (and hopefully eventually get a set of motrd wheels and tires for)

1830 to Hill Top Road in Denton is good! Plus you can pick up chicks easy on Fry Street by the College then head out for a late night ride.

I usually take Denton HWY and then take a right on Country Club rd/1830 and follow it to Hill Top road or some people call it "Goat Man's Bridge".

You can come with us when we all go out there in the summer at night.

Also 1171 in Roanoke is good too!

It's a drag bike so the longer swingarm is good to lessen the wheelie tendency when launching. I see plenty of Hayabusas with the extended swingarms.

Had a few...but one too many track wrecks shortened my bike career. Here's what I've run...

01 Honda F4i
02 Ducati 996
04 Kawasaki ZX-6RR
06 Ducati 749S

Sadly, each had nearly the cost of the bike spent on various unobtanium bits in carbon, kevlar, and titanium...I miss'em all!

SV is a good bike. They are built strong. No crazy HP but they are easy to mod will keep up with anything, easy to ride. You get a lot for the money.

Oh I know, I've passed plenty of 600cc super sports and liter bikes, and busas, in the turns at TWS MSRC and MSRH in levels 1 and 2 (of course most of them end up blasting me on the long straights )

Yea easy bike to throw around the track. Corner speed for a V-twin is great, plus it's a 600cc (smaller bike) So they corner easy.
