ALL VF Series Sub-13.0 1/4 Mile Registry

With the VF series turbos being such a popular upgrade across all Subaru platforms, as well as OE on many, and seeing how similarly they perform across those platforms when taken to the limit, I've decided to start an all inclusive 1/4 mile registry. It will actually be two lists. One for the p18 housed turbos, as well as one for the p20's and hybrids.

P18 examples: (*also including smaller twinscroll turbos here as well)
VF24, 27, 28, 29, 30, 34, 36*, 37*, 38*, 39, 40, 41, 43, 46, 48

P20/hybrid examples: (*also including larger twinscroll turbos here)
VF22, 23, 42*, VF3X or any of the above with swapped P20 housing

Rules are simple and as follows:
Anything goes, including all fuels and meth injection, but please declare the type of fuel and if you have the following: turbo porting, nitrous, EWG, upgraded gears or diffs, built engine/heads/cams, drag specific tires including DR's

So YES, this means that all chassis and engine combos are included. Everything from a stock turbo STi to a built hybrid engine WRX to an EJ207 swapped GC. If it has a VF series turbo and runs 12.99 or better, it goes on the list.
The limitation of the registry is the compressor wheel, so if you have a 20g, diesel, etc wheel, then this registry is not for you.

A timeslip is required to be listed, but two or more timeslips within 1-2 tenths is better and two or more timeslips combined with video is best.

Please use the bolded format below to post your times. IF YOU CAN'T POST IN THE FORMAT, THEN YOU WILL NOT BE INCLUDED.

Please see post number 2 for how to list mods. I am trying to make this as easy as possible, so I can keep it as up to date as possible.

Dave, weather dependent, I will be working on a slip for this thread sometime this week

Even with shift knock, the car will be 120-150lbs lighter and have a lightened pulley compared to my last 12.01 run. THe clutch should be good now as well!! Car launches fine on the street, just hope there are not globs of vht at the line or it may not withstand the launch.

you should gain .1-.15 tens in your 1/4 mile . My car should be ready next week

The td04, the 205.... And after doing the research on my new setup, everything I found pointed to these turbos running seriously similar times regardless of engine setup. The shorter powerband and gearing on the 2.5's and STi's leveled the playing field for the 2.0's that came on later, but held on longer. I just thought it would be interesting to throw them all together and see where they fall.

I'll take my car to the track next week and bash the hell out of it. Ive ran a 12.7 as is, i think I can get alor deeper 12's maybe high 11's with a very minimalistic mod list.

My buddy ran a 12.4@110 in his vf34 0 weight reduction basic mod car w/ my tune on it, I just picked up a bugeye DD, I might be down to try to break 11's.

honestly the helper spring didnt help much if any, you will have better luck bending the wastegate rod so it holds better. ( do this at your own risk )!

I have to second this. Junior's race gas stock turbo EWG cars make +/- 5whp compared to my car. I tried helper springs and a CAI also. Didnt make 1 more whp or hold boost any longer up top.

Juan, if you dont have them already, get the GT spec or maddad exhaust manifold (EL). The only real whp adder is the tbe and the tune. The manifold will stretch your power band out to the right a little more. When i added mine i lost 10 peak whp @ like 5k, but held 15whp more @ 7200.

Obviously people will critisize this with dyno numbers, but to me, dyno #'s mean nothing.

No LC or FFS. I do a quick slip-dump at 6500 with tire psi set at 20. No spin 1.60 60fts FTW!! Unfortuanately my new clutch doesnt take to this method so im still in the proces of trying to figure out to to still accomplish that 1.6 with a different style. Happy to see you in the low 12's as well. Its funny to beat up run of the mill 20G and green'd cars

Yeah reason I was asking was I have never used LC or FFS at the track and was just curious if you were using it. The only time I had tried it was on the street and I ended up spinning and then bogging a bit in 1st gear which sucked when I had 5 1.7x 60ft times in a row on my snow tires at the track haha.

What clutch did you end up getting? Sounds like you were launching exactly like I do on my stock clutch except I was only at about 5500 w/ tires at 35psi warm.

...and yes it is fun beating up on aftermarket turbo cars
