Default Rally Vs. Drifting Video

Check out this rad clip featuring Tanner Foust, JR, Travis Pastrana and Ken Block. I don't think it will be much of a shock if we see Ken and Travis behind the wheel of a drift car competing soon.

Interesting. No guy on a Segway?

The biggest difference between driving sideways on loose surfaces in Rally and drifting is that rally car drivers are doing it because it's safer.. not because it looks cool.

Seriously, though.. an interesting video for sure.

drifting is a fashion contest...its not about being fast, its about having the most style

Not a bad video, but I'm not sure I would call winning X-Games gold reaching "the pinnacle of the sport" of rallying.

Drifting has always seemed more like figure skating than a true racing competition, IMO.

I drift and just started to Rally. Did a Rally school competition and 2 of the top 3 people were drifters. 1st place Blake Fuller and 3rd place me out of 58 drivers total.

i drift and rally as well, but didnt feel that the competition was judged properly for what they said they were looking for.

Drift guys were certainly some of the quickest out there, but would you be on the stages?

I also like how they said it was to be for Rally TN (tarmac) and then they changed it for WV (gravel).

Out of all the surfaces I've driven on (not many :lol) I'd have to say gravel is my favorite surface. It's much easier for me as a beginner to slide around a turn on at slower speeds it seems. It's a shame the closest decent gravel roads are 5 hours from me
