Default AMS GT35r Turbo Kit... 482hp 407tq on shell 93oct

I am very pleased with how this car came out, making just insane power for 21.5psi and straight 93oct with no adders with still many stock parts.

Once again the AMS GT35r turbo kit has proven to be leaps and bounds better than the competition, in both spool and power output. To this date its the nicest turbo kit I have seen and tuned... PERIOD.

On the street we're seeing 21psi by 3.9k rpms in 4th gear and 14psi by 3.3k rpms which is just nutty for a GT35r with a .82 hotside.

As for the motor package that we have put together, the principals stay the same as all our engine packages. We designed it to have as flat a tq curve as possible. We will continue to work on the 08 heads as we work with GSC on designing us a set of cams. In the future I would expect the curve on the 08sti's to be even better than previous years due to the dual AVCS on the heads allowing us to get more aggressive with cam selection.

MODS:

TopSpeed SA1 Short Block (Cp Pistons)
TopSpeed 08sti SA1 Head Package (Mild Porting with stock cams and valvetrain)
DeatschWerks 850cc Injectors
Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
Cosworth FMIC
QTP Cutout (mounted on mid pipe since car still has stock cat-back)
4-1 Titek Header
Cobb AccessPort V.2 (TopSpeed Protuned)

Stay Tuned,

Doug W.

NICE!! Those heads seem to really do the trick. That tq curve is table top flat (at least at 21psi )

Keep up the good work (and do it faster).
Can't wait for the race gas tune numbers.
Too bad it wasn't on a TopSpeed RR2....

mmm torque. After the turbo spools it looks like an N/A V8 power band.

Nice Doug! Looks like you pulled 60 hp and 20 ft lbs of torque from the built motor, fmic, headers and porting the heads a little with the same boost as before all that. Not too shabby.

Damn, this is what I need. Nice work! That spool is f'in incredible. What do you attribute the AMS kit's advantage to?

93 octane ftw! You don't know how lucky you are until you go from a 93 octane map to a 91 octane, in my personal experience it feels like night and day. Grats on the numbers!

Curious what type of numbers would appear if a set of Cosworth heads were on that baby.

Great work!

The 'signature' heads from Topspeed that were on the racecar and can be ordered by anyone significantly outflow/outperform the Cossie heads.

I suspect that this car will soon have the same porting services in it once GSC gets the cams straightened out for the Dual AVCS.

I think you must be talking about this test here http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1714964

Mike in any event your injectors have been the best I have used.. which is why we only use them in our builds.

A couple of years ago I had my WRX tuned at topspeed. After the tune, I went to the track which is only about 30 minutes away. Will we see any drag times coming from this STI since the track is close to your facility?
