Default Inexpensive 5x100 wheels for 255/40/17 tires?

I'm looking for some 5x100 wheels to fit 255/40/17 Ecsta XS' on. Nothing fancy, just need the wheel to do its job. It doesn't look like I can get away with 8" wide, and I can't find very many inexpensive 17x8.5 and 17x9 offerings. Anybody have suggestions?

I found these 5zigen's in 8.5:
http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?w...r+GN%2B+Silver

Then from Wheeldude, Rota D2 in 8.5 and DPT, Torque in 9:
http://www.wheeldude.com/catalog/ind...=90_217_96_135

Currently I've got the Rota Grid (Volk te37 copies) which I really like for its simple design, so I'm really looking for the options out there...

Thanks!

Sportmax 050...Thats what I used a few years ago for a similar purpose. They are discontinued, but you might be able to pick up a set of used ones.

They are 17x9 and 38ish offset IIRC.

If you want to fit 255 under your fenders without doing serious work, offset is KEY! +48 is about ideal. I run 17x8.5" +48 with 255/40/17 and I'm just a couple mm from the strut and I still have slight rubbing on bumps on the rear fender lip. You can do +42 if you want, you'll just have 6mm more fender work to do. Camber helps but that requires special parts to get a decent amount.

There are 17x8.5" +48 5x100 choices out there, you just got to dig.

What is your definition of inexpensive? How much are you looking to spend?

Drag DR-31 come in 17x9 +38 I think. Search Discount Tire Direct by size, they should be ~$130/wheel.

I agree. DPT 17x9 +42

I wish they made it in +52-ish. Once I put the STi track under my wagon, the +42's will not work so well.

Thanks I'll look for those wheels. google'd up these Rota slipstreams that I didn't see on Wheeldude http://www.racinglab.com/rowhsl1751.html

I've got adjustable lateral links, so I was thinking the camber thing would be ok. I also have rolled and pulled fenders and I'm willing to straight cut them if needed (shouldn't need to based on searching threads)
