What have you got against the single speed? It makes me slow(er).

And FYI, yesterday was awesome.

Notes that I should probably check this thread more often.

I guess I could throw on the dirt tires. I did 30 miles in the flatlands of Detroit Saturday, maybe I should try some hills. When?

Broke as in parts need replacing or broke as in not functioning correctly and needing adjustments?

Rear cassette loosened up on me so I gotta pull the rear wheel, tighten up the cassette and it should be good to go. Reason it hasn't been fixed though is that I don't have the proper tool to tighten that bastard back on so I'm not sure how long it'll be until I get it back up.

See post above that...6 or 630 on Wednesday if you can make it out to Island Lake by that time. Otherwise we might just have to shoot for a weekend.

Proper tool? I did mine finger tight and then used a pair of small allen wrenches to turn it so the little locking teeth on the back engage. Who needs proper tools when you can use redneck ingenuity?

That's one of few bike specific tools I don't own yet. I keep meaning to buy one and a chainwhip also.

i've never seen a cassette loosen up. it should tighten when you pedal forward. your freehub might be going bad causing the slip or worn sprockets/chainrings/chain.
