Default Brake Coloring, Powdercoat or Paint?

I just got my hands on some brembos. I want to paint em yellow, but wondering if I should paint or powdercoat them.

I know powdercoating will look nicer, but from what I hear, they can damage the brembos. Thoughts? Suggestions?

Oh yeah, and are there such thing as high temp stickers incase I want to put the brembo logo on after either painting/powercoating them?

I say go the paint route. Just do plenty of prep and use high temp paints and you should be good. I wouldn't do decals. Get stencils made if you want the Brembo logo.

The thing is, the place that does the powdercoating also does the brembo logo so thats a plus.

Plenty of people have powder coated them without problems. Price is probably the deciding factor, painting is much cheaper. And you will need to replace the seals and they aren't that cheap either.

How much should each route roughly cost?

Powder coat is about 200 depending on where you get them done. Then the seals are about another 150.

I painted my calipers for about $30. My friend has a media blaster. Really cleaned up the calipers nice. Primered them, couple coats of color, then three coats of clear. It's been a year now and they still look really nice.

Just prep them real good. Paint them the color you want with high heat paint. then put some brembo decals on and use high heat clear coat after the decals.

I just powdercoated my extra brembos, and im very happy with the results. I also happened to have a hookup, and was far too lazy to prep them to paint them.

If you do PC them, they wont really look better than a good paint job, they will just be much more durable and resistant to scratches. You will also need to fully rebuild them with new seals.

So its really just a matter of how much time/money you want to spend. I chose to spend the money rather than the time. If you want to spend more time than money, prep them and paint them.
Then put some high temp decals on which u can get on ebay.

I used high temp engine paint. Just the bracket alone pissed me off with how it looked before I painted them. The media blasting took the longest. It was cheaper unit, did the trick, but was pretty time consuming. Very thankfull to be able to use it though.
